mountune’s extensive knowledge of the Ford EcoBoost engine coupled with broad motorsport experience provides the foundation for our N1 improved performance 2.3L Ford EcoBoost long block assembly. Each long block is skillfully assembled using a brand new Ford RS engine block coupled with Forged Pistons and Forged Connecting Rods, high-performance bearings, and a genuine RS crankshaft. We also use a brand new genuine Ford RS cylinder head assembly, camshafts, and valve train to ensure reliable performance.
This is the perfect foundation for those looking for a mild increase in performance or those that need to replace their worn or damaged original engine in their Focus RS. Upgraded forged internal components and mountune build quality allow for increased performance without breaking the bank account.
We take the guesswork out of critical engine assembly and minimize downtime. We also include our RS oil control pan upgrade. This engine specification is designed for use in cars with mild upgrades and typical street use. For high boost, track days, and other motorsport applications, we recommend our fully option High-Performance Long Block.

The genuine RS engine block is first inspected, and de-burred, then the bores are honed to perfection to receive the upgraded Forged Pistons. The rotating assembly that includes a new Ford RS crankshaft and Forged Connecting Rods is balanced to within .5 gram. These select parts are professionally assembled by one of mountune's skilled engine builders using tri-metal race spec bearings. Each assembly includes a detailed data sheet showing all critical engine dimensions.
